Flexi uses generative AI to create personalized stretching routines based on user inputs.

Project Overview

Flexi was a project completed for the Innovation and Design course at Columbia University. Our team was tasked with redesigning another team’s solution to a problem that New York City resident’s face in the domain of healthcare. The original solution proposes a social media based mobile-app that encourages users to maintain effective stretching routines.  Our pivot focuses on utilizing generative AI to provide personalized stretching routines to increase user satisfaction.

UX Research

We conducted 15 minute interviews with two potential users of the original flexi solution to identify key user pain points

  • Users struggle with generic stretching routines that do not cater to their individual needs, resulting in ineffective or uncomfortable stretches

  • Some users find it intimidating or embarrassing to share their stretching routines on a social platform

  • Users struggle to find efficient and effective stretching routines that fit in their schedule

  • Users sometimes find it challenging to follow stretching instructions accurately, leading to improper technique and potential injury

Problem Statement

Active individuals often face challenges in creating personalized and effective stretching routines tailored to their specific needs and activities.
